Bio-Riddle

I was born in 1847, Ohio in the States, 

I was just a wee little lad with many valuable traits. 

 

My mother was the making of me, she let me follow my bent, 

Though many times throughout my life my anger would burst up through a vent. 

 

I toiled wearily day and night for many countless years 

Though through my life I shall admit that I shed countless tears 

 

I have wronged friends and made many enemies in my life  

In all of those situations I have entered into real strife 

 

I have had many triumphs in my journey and through the world 

When I have failed I always come up unperturbed 

 

I have toiled along this long winding trail unaware of what will unfold 

I am always unaware of what shall, in future be foretold  

 

I was the one who created light, the smartest man alive, 

My name is Thomas Edison, and I was destined to thrive.
